With four million passengers travelling on the London Underground system every day, the challenge to boost the capacity of the 150 year old network and keep the capital moving has never been greater.
New technology, which rcm2jv team are contributing to engineer, will improve journey times and support London's expanding population. And our proposals are expected to save £10 million.
We looked at increasing the number of trains running through two major tube train terminals (Depots), Ealing Common and Upminster. This is part of plans to upgrade Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, District and Circle lines which represent 40 percent of the entire London Tube network.
The Four Lines Modernisation Programme, or 4LM as it is currently referred to, is the largest underground signalling project in the world. Other aspects of the work include new trains and track. Obsolete equipment will be replaced by new signalling and control systems.
Jobs, businesses and tourism are dependent on safe, reliable and fast public transport and we are proud to be contributing to an ambitious project that will make a real difference to the lives and prospects of Londoners.
